Addiction and Shiva - Two sides of the same coin

What is addiction? Actually something that enslaves us or something that makes us unaware of outside world . For me addiction is something great. Only during the addiction the ego "YOU" is absent in your life . We always termed addiction as the negative aspect of life. The negative aspect and positive aspect are the games played by the dual mind.

Why are we behind something or somebody, is just because deep inside there is an instinct of self preservation and incompleteness. We long to forget who we are and what we cling to mind body and emotion. As addiction creates a great distance between us and our physical realm of the world, it feels ecstatic.

My question is why different people are addicted to different things. So one activity that controls people does not control the other. So does that addiction is not with the substance or people you use and is it purely dependent on how you have made up your mind? IS it this way that people are more concerned about what they believe is great to live or the life depends on the stimulants.

Once you are addicted to something or somebody the sense of who you are does not matter . You became malleable to your longing. The main aspect that has to be seen here is that we loose awareness during addiction. If we are really aware during the addicted period we can see that time and space tends to zero. If we are really addicted to something it is not bad until you are aware that you loose your ego for that period.

I have never seen the drunkard and the devotee differently , I cannot too. The drunkard's hand shivers for alcohol and the devotee's heart longs for God. I could see only thin line of difference between them. If the drunkard is too aware of what he is doing he is no more an dirty fellow , he is existantially pure within.

Now the world has become the crowded place. There are million things we can do in everything we see and every thought we think. We dont need workers and brilliance. In my opinion we need addicts in every way. An addict with little head of himself is the need of the hour. Thats how we are not going to be logical and hence not lazy all the time thinking what will happen to us if we do something needful for others.

The world is always there. We the people are coming and going. We see the systems changes everytime and the people relevant to the changes are forgotten in time. So atlast what prevails is the system, not the people. So how we do things is important rather than who we are. Anyhow if we believe in re-incarnation , it is the system we are gonna re-use not our ego.

I love addiction . I need the world to be addicted in each and everything they do, atleast most of the things we do. I surely believe that if addiction is present in everything you do , you will not search for things that ruin your health. If you really addicted to cigarretes, alcohol and opposite sex ; that is completely alright in my view; but I just want everybody to see what actually happens during addiction and why we are drawn towards it from a regular work.

Find out new things to get addicted. Those things may not have money value ; health value ; Friendly; loving; simply it should be like that you are ready to give your life for something needful. Thats how the life should be where you find yourself empty still vibrant and thats how some great people like Shiva, Jesus, Prophet etc wandered in earth in my perception. Rules of geetha, bible and quran are not improtant. It is the intensity and impartial addiction of enlightened beings are important.

If we can count the things we are addicted to; We still lead a miserable life :-)
